Department of oxymorons, Israel division

From this article: "Geraldine Ferraro, the first female vice presidential candidate in U.S. history, was remembered as a defender of human rights and a friend of Israel."

(Maybe the editor just forgot to change the "and" to a "but".)

  1. Every article in the country is also very wrong to tag her as the first woman to run for VP, or for that matter president.
There is of course Victoria Woodhull: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Woodhull
And I’m abundantly sure that a variety of small parties had women near or at the top of the ticket otherwise. Ferraro was a failed Hail Mary attempt by the wretched Mondale campiagn to earn some women’s votes by appealing to the crude form of identity politics which keeps so many emlsaved to the Dems. She was more accurately the “first female VP candidate from either of the two current major parties.”
