In case you haven't heard this great news yet:
The Iraqi journalist jailed after hurling his shoes at former President George W. Bush, will be released next month after his sentence was reduced for good behaviour.
Muntadhar al-Zeidi’s act during Bush’s last visit to Iraq as President turned the 30-year-old reporter into a folk hero across the Arab world, amid growing anger at the 2003 invasion.
(The article has a still I hadn't seen before that captures that magic moment in all its sublime glory.)
Somewhere out there, George Bush is flinching involuntarily.
His "good behavior" consisting of, presumably, not hurling shoes as his fellow prisoners.
Congrats, Mr. al-Azidi. You done good.
I expect he'll get a hero's welcome home when he comes out. As he should. Huzzah!

And how many years did you get sentenced to for "Shoe-perman"?
I think the World Court was established expressly to punish crimes against humanity like that one.
