Now that's not very quill

You may have read about the launch of Google-killer search site Cuil (apparently pronounced like Spanish "culo").  I checked it out when it was first announced, was mildly amused that the first hit for "distant ocean" was "Ogunquit Maine Bed and Breakfast Lodging Accommodations," tried several other easy searches with equally zany results, and gave up on it forever.

But the funniest bit (as pointed out by commenters here): if you search for "Cuil", it doesn't even return itself as a result.  I can practically hear the laughter at Google headquarters from 40 miles away.
