Something to share with your Obama-fan friends:
Barack Obama waited just three days after Hillary Clinton pulled out of the race to declare, on CNBC, "Look. I am a pro-growth, free-market guy. I love the market."
Demonstrating that this is no mere spring fling, he has appointed 37-year-old Jason Furman to head his economic policy team. Furman is one of Wal-Mart’s most prominent defenders, anointing the company a "progressive success story."
The rest.
I'm sure you must check "Deconstructing Democrats" a.k.a. "StopMeBeforeIVoteAgain" from time to time, right?
Did'ja see this one:
> OBAMA CAMPAIGN announces 'Senior Working Group on National Security'
> --Secretary of State Madeleine Albright
> --Senator David Boren, former Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence
> --Secretary of State Warren Christopher
> --Greg Craig, former director of the State Department Office of Policy Planning
> --Secretary of the Navy Richard Danzig
> --Representative Lee Hamilton, former Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee
> --Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder
> --Dr. Tony Lake, former National Security Advisor
> --Senator Sam Nunn, former Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
> --Secretary of Defense William Perry
> --Dr. Susan Rice, former Assistant Secretary of State
The correspondent writes:
" Madeleine Albright?
Warren Christopher?
William Perry?
Lee Hamilton?
Oh man, change is coming fast.
I'm so excited to see something so unique happening in my lifetime.
I'm also glad Clinton didn't win, she never would have picked new fresh faces like these!"
...Directly above that citation, on the Deconstructing Democrats page, is commentary on Obama's interview with Fortune Magazine. Fortune Magazine titled their article, "Obama: NAFTA not so bad after all"
...plus la change, plus la meme chaud! Or whatever, my French is very rusty.

Occasionally, but nope, hadn't seen that. I'd been planning to throw out an insult sometime about Obama running for Clinton's third term, though, for just these kinds of reasons. It really is breathtaking to watch how quickly Obama is trimming his (already modestly-deployed) sails to conform to his new identity as The Democratic Nominee.
