In June of 2006, three human beings who were imprisoned in Guantanamo committed suicide, prompting shambling man-turd Harry Harris to offer the following analysis:
Rear Adm [and Guantanamo commandant Harry] Harris said he did not believe the men had killed themselves out of despair.
"They are smart. They are creative, they are committed," he said.
"They have no regard for life, either ours or their own. I believe this was not an act of desperation, but an act of asymmetrical warfare waged against us."
And feral wolf-bitch Colleen Graffy to chime in:
Deputy assistant secretary of state for public diplomacy, Colleen Graffy, has dismissed the suggestions of some human rights lawyers and organisations that the suicides were the result of mounting desperation.
Ms Graffy told the BBC the deaths were "a tactic to further the jihadi cause".
"Taking their own lives was not necessary but it certainly is a good PR move to draw attention," she said.
And now those scheming, craven jihadis have reinforced their utter disdain for the most basic norms of human behavior by viciously attacking us yet again:
A Saudi detainee at the U.S. military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, was found dead in his cell from an apparent suicide yesterday afternoon, military officials said. He would be the fourth detainee to take his own life at the facility in the past year.
Will our trials never cease?
But some people just don't have the same deeply penetrating understanding of the terrorist mindset as the inestimable Harris and Graffy. They're easily taken in by these calculated PR moves that are so cynically disguised as heart-wrenching manifestations of pain and hopelessness:
Wells Dixon, an attorney at CCR [the Center for Constitutional Rights], said last night that he has asked the Justice Department for information about the detainee, and that his organization is already calling for an independent investigation into his death. Dixon, who visited Saudi detainees at Guantanamo earlier this month, said they "were suffering terribly."
"The fact that four detainees have now died while in military custody should not surprise anyone," Dixon said. "These results are predictable, given the fact that these men have been confined for so long without charge or trial under such difficult circumstances."
Sigh. When will these bleeding hearts learn? Don't they know that Guantanamo houses only the worst of the worst?
