Ironically, the very day I write an article about just what's wrong with Wikipedia I go to the Wikipedia front page and find that the day's featured article is Jerusalem. I clicked through to the page and searched for references to "occupation" or any variants, and this was the only match:
The land currently occupied by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is considered one of the top candidates for Golgotha and thus has been a Christian pilgrimage site for the past two thousand years.
Well, of course. When I think of Jerusalem and occupation, Golgotha is the first thing that pops into my head.
You'll find various phrases scattered throughout the page like "bone of contention", "controversial", "disputed", and so on, but good luck finding a straightforward reference to the illegal Israeli occupation and annexation of Jerusalem. Instead, the slant of the article faithfully follows the Israeli propaganda line--which is near-universal on Wikipedia pages relating in any way to Israel, thanks to the tireless work of pro-Israel posters.
