Naomi Klein has a spot-on deconstruction of the Paul Wolfowitz / World Bank flap, filled with jewels like this: "From farm subsidies to the Dubai Ports World scandal, hypocrisy is our economic order's guiding principle."  Well worth reading (just like most everything she writes).
